When I click on the EZ Password button in the Internet Explorer bar, what can cause my account information not to be pasted properly?
A couple of things could cause this problem here's some possible causes:
- The pasting sequence is not properly setup. By default, EZ Password Manager is using the following sequence "User ID", <tab>, "Password", <tab> and <Enter>. Some web pages may require a modification to the sequence in order to accommodate the way the page is built, Hotmail web page is a good example, since it requires you to add a supplementary <tab> to step over the domain name associated with your account. To change the pasting sequence of an account do the following:
- In the "Account List", Double click on the Account to be changed.
- Select the "Sequence" tab.
- Modify the pasting sequence.
- When clicking on the EZ Password button the focus is not in the User ID field. To do so, click in that field before activating the pasting sequence.
- The page is not completely loaded when clicking on the EZ Password button and even if the focus was properly set, it is changed while the page is loading. To prevent this wait until the web page is completely loaded before activating the pasting sequence.
How can I paste information in other application then Internet Explorer?
In Internet Explorer it is easy to use the EZ Password button in the Internet Explorer tool bar, but it is possible to use the Account hot key to achieve the same with any application. The default hot key is "<Ctrl> + F12", this will activate the account pasting sequence in any windows application.
